General Dentistry Services Keep Your Family’s Mouths Healthy!Dr. Memmott on General Dentistry Read Transcript
General dentistry in our office starts with your checkup. You come in and get a checkup and an exam, and you really find out where you're at. A lot of people don't exactly know where they're at. They think they're healthy, or they think, “I don't have cavities. I don't think I have anything going on.” But general dentistry for our office is finding out where you're at. Sometimes that's already at 100%, but it's nice for patients to be able to know and to hear us be able to diagnose a clean set of X-rays, and look in your mouth, and help you know that you are at 100% right now; keep up the good work.
That's really where it starts for us, is helping patients be cavity-free and take care of all their needs; so, for our office, general dentistry is healthy dentistry. That's starting out with cleanings, making sure that you're cavity-free, and that if you're not, general dentistry is becoming cavity-free again. It's really restoring the biology of decay and treating your teeth in a way that's really health-focused. That, for us, is general dentistry: fillings, crowns to restore broken teeth, root canals if you're in pain. Those things for us are general dentistry.
Our Spring, TX dentist office is your family’s all-in-one dental stop. A dentist is someone your family sees on a regular basis for general dentistry, so it’s probably important to you to see a dentist who understands a wide range of needed treatments for many age groups. We are all about improving families’ oral health at Spring Dental Group, and that’s why families have been coming back to us for nearly 30 years.

Dental Exams, Preventive Care Keep Your Teeth Healthy
As a regular part of anyone’s dental routine, we recommend twice-yearly dental cleanings and dental exams. This both prevents dental issues and helps us catch any developing issues. For preventive care, we also offer:
- Fluoride treatments and varnish
- Nutritional counseling
- CariFree and DIAGNOdent cavity detectors
- Oral cancer screenings
If you suffer from sensitive, swollen, and/or bleeding gums, we offer scaling and root planing to treat gum disease. Without treatment, gum disease can lead to eventual tooth loss, bone loss, and the overwhelming spread of bacteria in your mouth.
We’ll Help You Beat Bad Breath
Bad breath, or halitosis, can make you shy away from social gatherings and close interactions with your loved ones. No one wants to feel self-conscious. We can help stop the smell and get you back to being the life of the party.
Bad breath often accompanies disease-induced or medication-induced dry mouth, which we can also help you overcome. Dry mouth is when your mouth doesn’t have enough saliva to keep it properly moist. It can lead to many other issues if left unchecked, including tooth decay.
Athletic Mouthguards Protect Your Teeth
If your child is an athlete, a mouthguard can keep his or her mouth free from harm out on the field or the court. If you notice you clench your teeth when you’re working out, you might consider one for yourself, too.
